In accordance with the God's
call and commitment towards the upliftment of the
down trodden among the poor and needy Tribals /
Lambada, Koya and Yerukala in the backward region
of Krishna, Guntur and Prakash Dist. and remembering
His call "let the children come to me, and
do not forbid them, for of such is kingdom of God" the
ARDS is prompted to help them to know God's love
through His sacrifies, and endeavouring to meet
the human needs of the people around us in obedience
to His will and guidance.
ARDS is a registered body
with registered number 327/95, a non profit,
non governmental organization which was registered
in 1995 under the Andhra Pradesh State Public
Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Organization
was earlier known as Social Action for integration
and Liberation.
Prelude :
Prakasam, Guntur & Krishna
in AP, India has the largest concentration of
tribal population, which includes mostly Lambada
Tribe. These people who lead nomadic life, live
under extreme poverty and are socially very backward.
Forced by the prevailing social custom of dowry
and associated with problems of poverty the girl
children in the tribal region are facing large-scale
infanticide and or being sold to others since
the girl child not wanted by parents. Many young
girls are neglected and due to economic and social
pressures they are working as the sex workers.
Girls in this community are also married off
at very early age. Lambada girls lack education
and social or economic support or care from family
or community.
In this backdrop, the ARDS
is trying to provide free education, care and
support to poor and needy children in this Mandal.
Towards this cause we urge you to kindly provide
the necessary support for the children to empower
their lives to lead dignified lives with access
to free education, care and support.
Ministries main
aims and Objectives.
1. To establish prayer halls
and chapels to the members.
2. To establish churches, training centers for spiritual development
and orphanages for children.
3. To promote measures to improve the economic, education and social
conditions of weaker sections and to run or assist the running
economic projects.
4. To take up development activities, environmenta, women and child
trainings old age homes orphanages and hostels etc.,
